I wanted to see through this hollowed out log at the sun setting on the other side of it. I couldn’t quite get my camera down and angled up, without being blinded by the glare of the sun. Finally, with my eyes full of sunspots, I chose to close my eyes and aim the camera using my inner eye. I imagined what I wanted to see and took a bunch of shots with slight adjustments of angles. Most just didn’t speak to me, but this one told me a story… The story of the frightened rabbit hiding in his hole, looking out at the giant idiot stomping around his den for reasons he didn’t understand. As I was tweaking this one, I wondered what exactly does a rabbit see. Do they get blinded by the sun’s glare like I was? Is he sitting there hoping I’m gone? How long does he wait? I really hope there was nothing hiding in this log for me to frighten.
