You gotta trust in serendipity. I couldn’t get my lens to focus on all the details of this flower cluster, no matter how much I fiddled with it. I took a few shots to catch the feelings I was getting from the red, but to my naked eye, it didn’t do it justice. As I fussed with the editing, it started to remind me of these beautiful poppy painting and I think some cut-out work by Matisse. In focusing on getting the red colour fields as stylized to match the image in my mind, I missed what was going on in the green core of the shot. Little hairs and baby flowers all waving and moving under the stasis of an explosion of red.
