Yes, I know…yet another photo of my beloved Japanese maple! What can I say? I really love it and get so much joy from the inspiration it delivers. This shot is all about textures for me. I zoomed in as close as I cool and then played with resolutions to get the distortions from the lens glass of my camera. The colours are icing on the cake! What you see here can be seen with your naked eye… well, it can be seen on a sunny day, at least. The silvery bark, now I realize reflects the blues of the sky, as well as the greens of the plants around it… and the luscious crimson that jump out of the maple leaves. It’s such a beautiful plant!
