I’ve been wrapping up academic papers and struggling to stay motivated to do them. Usually, painting is my distraction from the papers, but these particular art history essays are really not too interesting to me.
I added a few little touches to the painting since the last update… mainly shadows. I feel what’s left is to bring in some background colours reflecting off the skin and bathing suit. I still have work to do on the faces, but it really looks very different depending on the light when I’m painting. The arms and hands also need a few more touches.
I hope to be finished all m y papers soon and then be able to reward myself with some well deserved time on this painting.
