Recently trying to figure out a really quick and fun art activity for an upcoming lesson plan, I started to squiggle on the page with black oil pastel. Originally, I intended to make a creature forest landscape out of it, but as I turned the page around to look at it from different angles, I felt the need to draw en eye somewhere and turn the whole piece into one big creature, instead of many hiding behind tree silhouettes (original idea). Then I decided to fill in the spaces (probably a little procrastination happening here) and the placement of the eye and nostrils became evident. It would be some sort of abstract cow or pig.

A few days later, I made many more (keep your eyes peeled and follow the story closely at The New Renaissance Mindset).
