Am I allowed to feel ungrateful?

I asked myself this question and surprised myself with the answer. The answer is “YES”. The funny thing is that once I acknowledged this, I started feeling grateful for the answer. I was feeling a little small, insignificant, and ungrateful that more people weren’t answering my call to action “WHAT DOES GRATITUDE FEEL LIKE TO YOU?” Then my inner voice whispered the following words that fiiled me with gratitude:

“You believe that what gratitude feels like is a purely subjective expression, so getting the interpretations of it from others, especially when you have yet to fully define it for yourself, will potentially confuse your answer. Furthermore, your intention was to get a better understanding of what gratitude feels like. Only you can answer that!”

Darn it, that inner voice really hits home sometimes! My impulse answer what that it told me to trust my gut and my gut tells me I feel gratitude when my thoughts are aligned with my inner voice. Alrightythen! I’m gonna havta have a good think on this and get back to you on it…

In the meantime…
